I was never a fan of the All-Stars treatment, but I'll definitely boot this up at least once.
This is a free online multiplayer variant of Super Mario Bros. Glad more folks get to play it, but Nintendo's insistence on digging up Wii U games and using them to fill up an otherwise empty release schedule is annoying. I don't see a reason to pay $60 for said game again when I own roughly 90% of it already. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury - Oh god, stop the pain. This looks to be a great functional collectible and I still rather kick myself for not grabbing the Game & Watch ball re-release from Club Nintendo in its final days. I love the Game & Watch and Nintendo's history in general. It's definitely on a future shopping list for my future kids though we should be in a proper house by then.
This seems like a really neat "toys to life" AR game but unfortunately the reality of apartment life means that my play space is rather limited plus I dunno how well it would work on carpeting, so I won't be purchasing this at launch. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit - Cool, but I would have liked Mario Kart 9 instead. I don't have this game currently unlike the prior two titles but I'm also not interested in playing it again. I would have loved for them to fix this up properly and add more content that was originally intended for the game, but that's outside the scope of a collection. It was clearly rushed and released in an unfinished state when it was clear that the Gamecube had fallen flat on its face and it really suffers because of it. Super Mario Sunshine is a mess of a game. I'm not the elitist type that turns away in abject horror at 480p, so I'm fine with just playing my Wii copy to get a fix. Super Mario Galaxy is a great game, but I see no real reason to buy it again when my Wii copy works just fine. I would have been on-board with a Halo Anniversary-style toggle between new and old graphics, and maybe even a "Deluxe" option rolling in some of the DS release content. I have the Virtual Console release of Super Mario 64, and the game running in a higher resolution isn't a huge selling point since the game graphics are so simple to begin with. But now, some of the Missions have expired, keeping fans from completing the required amount before the game's release.Super Mario 3D All-Stars - Meh. To qualify for the newest pin set, fans must complete 14 Missions in addition to claiming their My Nintendo Gold Points for purchasing Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on February 12. RELATED: Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury Commercial is TerrifyingĪside from some fans being unable to get their hands on the 1st set of pins thanks to low stock in the first place, many fans now will not be able to grab the 2nd set of Super Mario pins due to the nature of some of the My Nintendo Missions. Just a few weeks ago, Nintendo confirmed that fans could complete more My Nintendo Missions in order to obtain a new set of 35th anniversary pins, but it seems that many fans won't even get the chance to do so. Missions ranged from being as simple as visiting a webpage online or registering in an online tournament, to requiring fans to purchase Super Mario 3D All-Stars. Prior to the release of Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Nintendo announced that it would allow fans to complete a certain amount of My Nintendo Missions in order to nab some neat, limited-edition Super Mario Bros. Among different online events, promotions, special merchandise, and more, the monumental anniversary has brought fans all kinds of surprises, from a mixed reality Mario Kart game in the form of Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, to a remastered collection of three fan-favorite Super Mario games for the Switch.
Last year, Nintendo kicked off celebrations for the 35th anniversary of everyone's favorite Goomba-stomping plumber, Super Mario.
